EYZHN Greece DMC supports the 1st Greek Expedition to Mount Kangchenjunga! The Greek team consists from Antonios Sykaris and Fotis Theocharis who are leaving on April 5th, 2018 to Kathmandu carrying with them the EYZHN flag.
After almost 8 days of walking with a caravan of people and yaks, carrying food and equipment, we expect them to arrive at the base camp on 5143m, on April 16th, 2018. The whole trekking and mainly the basecamp, is in an isolated, inhospitable and inaccessible area. The closest village is about 130 km away. It will take them about 40 days from basecamp to the top. Their camps will be settled at 6200m, 6400m, 7100m and 7550m. During the last days of May, they will attempt for the final push to the summit.
Through our website you can follow their journey and see pictures of EYZHN flag. in all stops. Their mission to climb to Kangchenjunga pick (8.586m) of Himalayan is tricky as it is considered one of the most difficult routes. The Kangchenjunga Himal section of the Himalayas lies both in Nepal and India, and encompasses 16 peaks over 7.000m.
